More Nikki
More pictures of a girl and her dog...

Technical Notes from the day (for those who are interested in that sort of thing):
It was a cloudy day, so I didn't have to worry too much about dark shadows. For a few of the photos, I used a small flash held by someone off camera, but I decided that for the natural, family look of these, I didn't really need it, the cloudy day gave nice light enough. I used a more telephoto lens to give a really nice blurred background, making my subjects look nice and crisp. When we went inside, I used the diffused light from the windows to give some soft and directional light from multiple directions.

Coloring
Sometimes I like to play around with the colors in my shots to give the photo more 'mph. With this photo of Daniel Chioco, I liked the pose and lighting, just not the natural colors of the shot. With a bluish filter (actually a yellowish one blended with divide but same thing), I feel like the colors flow better together, and the picture has a little more style. Definitely not something for every single photograph, but here and there when it adds to the overall look.

Lake
So... I was lacking in internet access for a while. I've been meaning to update this MUCH more often, and I probably will be updating almost every day. So many pictures to share! A few more from my lake trip, shots from the Florida Keys to come soon!
